Brittany Mahany joins Beaver Meadow with 11 years of experience in education. She began her journey toward becoming an educator at the University of New Hampshire where she studied Family Studies and specialized in children ages birth-18. After graduating with her Bachelor’s Degree from UNH in 2010, she immediately went on to a Master’s program at Rivier University where she studied Elementary Education and Special Education. While getting her Master’s degree, she taught kindergarten to gain classroom experience and build relationships with families.

After receiving her Master’s degree in 2012, she began her career in public education with the Nashua School District where she was a third grade teacher for 4 years and looped up as a fourth grade teacher for 5 years at Amherst Street Elementary School. Brittany is a lifelong learner who always sought out innovative approaches and best practices when it came to the craft of teaching. To be better equipped as a teacher of students learning English as a second language, she studied and became certified in ELL with the University of New Hampshire in 2017. After 9 years in the classroom, Mrs. Mahany attended Southern New Hampshire where she received her Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Educational Leadership in 2021. Her decision to becoming a school administrator came from a strong passion in making a positive impact within an entire school community. She transitioned to the role of Assistant Principal at Charlotte Avenue Elementary School in Nashua where she has been for the last two years. 

Mrs. Mahany is thrilled to join the Concord School District as Assistant Principal of Student Services at Beaver Meadow Elementary School. Mrs. Mahany is committed to working closely with teachers, parents, and community members to ensure our students achieve their full potential. As Assistant Principal, she looks forward to working closely with Ms. Vance and staff to carry out the mission and vision of Beaver Meadow.

Mrs. Mahany lives with her husband and two beautiful children, Caleb (6) and McKenna (3). She enjoys taking her kids out on day trips: farms, museums, swimming, and boating. As a family, they love to go camping and vacationing to new places!
